Bill L. Hudson is the former president of LC Industries, the nation’s largest employer of people with visual impairment. Bill Hudson was instrumental to the success of the Duke Eye Building project. Under his leadership, LC Industries made a transformative gift to advance eye care at Duke Health. The Hudson Building at Duke Eye Center, which opened in July 2015, offers expanded clinical services to maximize overall patient care outcomes and houses the latest technology needed for conducting innovative treatments and research in ophthalmologic disease. Bill Hudson is chair of the Duke Eye Center Advisory Board and also serves as a member of the Duke Forward Medicine Campaign Planning Committee and the Duke Health Board of Visitors. Bill received his undergraduate degree in business administration from Chowan College. He resides in Scottsdale, Arizona, with his wife, Cathy.
