Glenn H. Schiffman is a senior managing director at Guggenheim Partners, a privately held global financial services firm. He has more than 20 years of investing and investment banking experience. Over his career, Glenn has executed deals well in excess of $100 billion for a global roster of marquee clients. He was recognized by Asia Atlas Awards as the 2009 Asia Mergers and Acquisitions Banker of the Year.
Glenn has also served as senior managing director, head of investment banking, Americas and CEO of Nomura Securities North America, LLC. Before his appointment as CEO and head of investment banking, Glenn served as head of investment banking Asia-Pacific for Nomura and prior to that head of investment banking Asia-Pacific for Lehman Brothers. At Lehman, and subsequently Nomura, the investment banking division that Glenn led achieved a number-one ranking in Asia-Pacific Mergers and Acquistions. Glenn began his career at Lehman Brothers in 1991, became co-head of internet group in 2000, co-head of US media business in 2003 and became co-head of the global media group in 2005.
Glenn is a founder and chairman of the Valerie Fund Endowment and serves as a member of the Board of Visitors for the Duke University Medical School.
Glenn has a degree in economics and history from Duke University.
